About Wool Works™ Magazine
This magazine has humble beginnings.
One morning over a cup of coffee, I reflected on the bonds we share as women, from the love we have for our children to our relationships with our mothers, daughters and sisters, our happiness and hardships, family bonds, and of course, the sisterhood we reflect in our love of wool.
I promise Wool Works is different from any other magazine. It is glossy and colorful, yes, and it contains gorgeous and spectacular projects with great instruction and easy pattern templates. But Wool Works™ is more than a collection of pretty pictures.
That morning as I wiped my coffee cup, I knew with certainty it was time for more -- it was time to scratch below the surface. Just like you, I want to know what a designer is feeling and what inspires her when she creates a pattern for our pages. I want to know where she lives, what her worktable looks like, and if she has happiness in her face. I also want to know about quilting and rug hooking guilds and learn how they encourage and assist women in their communities. I knew then the beautiful projects within our pages deserve to be paired with articles that celebrate our strengths and imagination as women, and it was important to me to find contributing designers who share those values. Don't you agree?
My goal is simple: Each quarterly issue of Wool Works magazine brings you a selection of great projects featuring wool applique, rug hooking, punch needle, cross-stitch and doll making, all with wool. I also bring you informative articles that teach you things you need to know about wool and wool hand-arts, secrets about your favorite designers and oh, so much more!
